說明書是以應用文體的方式對某事或物來進行相對的詳細表述，使人認識、了解到某事或物。
Instruction in the form of an application style about something or things to relatively detailed description, make people to know, learn something, or content.

（1）傳播知識。當說明書伴隨著產(chǎn)品走向消費者群的時候，它所包含的新知識、新技術(shù)，也為群眾所了解。（2）指導消費。說明書對商品或服務內(nèi)容進行客觀的介紹、科學的解釋，可以了解產(chǎn)品的特性、掌握產(chǎn)品的操作程序，從而達到科學消費的目的。（3）宣傳企業(yè)。說明書在介紹產(chǎn)品的同時，也宣傳了企業(yè)，因而兼有廣告宣傳的性質(zhì)。
